DESCRIPTION: DESCRIPTION\nAs we age, our eyes become more susceptible to conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Cataracts cause the eye’s lens to cloud, leading to blurred or dim vision but are highly treatable with surgery. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve—often without early symptoms—and can cause permanent vision loss if not detected through regular eye exams. AMD affects central vision, making detailed tasks difficult and progressing in either a slow “dry” form or a more severe “wet” form. Understanding these conditions and getting routine eye exams are key to protecting long-term vision.
