COURSE DESCRIPTION
Lyric introductions to songs from "The Great American Songbook", featuring works by George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hart, Jimmy McHugh & Dorothy Fields, Jerome Kern, Harry Warren, Jules Styne, Harold Arlen, and Yip Harburg, among others. Many know these iconic songs by heart but have rarely heard the song's beautiful introductory verses. You may never hear the songs the same way again.

COURSE LEADER
Dave is a past board president of CMAP and currently serves on CMAP's Advisory Council. He previously taught an Evergreen Forum course on New Jersey Geography. He has played the piano for decades, though not nearly as well as you would expect.
