DESCRIPTION
Join an expert local guide as we wander the streets of Arequipa, a Unesco World Heritage City is known as "the white city" where most of the houses, churches, Monasteries, and cathedrals were built from white volcanic stone. Spanish influence during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries is apparent in the roman, rococo, byzantine and baroque architecture styles we will encounter on our tour. We'll tour this stunning city and enjoy its historic architecture including The church of the Jesuits, built in 1590 with mestizo baroque style, and Tristan del Pozo's house, in Roman style.
