COURSE DESCRIPTION
Evergreen Forum's Spring 2025 Open House comes this January! Learn about this fantastic program with a tabling event to meet the spring semester course leaders, learn about our catalogue of classes, and mingle with other potential participants. Then, join us for two sample lectures from some of our incredible course leaders. Plus, everyone who attends will be entered in a chance to win a free Evergreen Forum course for the Spring 2025 semester!

While the day runs from 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., there are a variety of events you may pick and choose to attend! For the full schedule, please see the registration information below.

Please note: This is an in-person and hybrid event. This means that our tabling event will be in-person only, while both sample lectures will be hybrid for those who wish to join us virtually. Information from the tabling event will be available virtually for those who register.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

12:30 – 1:30 p.m. | Course Leader Meet and Greet and Socializing Event (In-Person)
Meet our Spring semester course leaders and hear all about their fantastic new courses. Get the opportunity to learn more about the Evergreen Forum program, mingle with other participants, and even join a tour of our CMAP facility. Light refreshments will be served.

1:45 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. | Evergreen Forum Sample Class (Hybrid)
Consume great works of literature with course leader Lois Harrod as she dives into the bite size world of short fiction. Read the selected short story ahead here: Short Story Reading (please note participants do not have to have read ahead to enjoy this class).

2:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Break

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Evergreen Forum Sample Class (Hybrid)
Join course leader Harold Heft from Science in the News as he covers some of the latest and greatest explorations, discoveries, and depths of modern-day science.

This Evergreen Forum course offers a hybrid experience, allowing participants to join the event either in-person or virtually via Zoom. Please carefully select your registration type, as participants are expected to attend programs based on their chosen in-person or virtual status.
