Program Details

DESCRIPTION
Join us for a captivating lecture through the life of George Frideric Handel, a titan of Baroque music whose compositions have enchanted audiences for centuries. We'll look at his formative years in Germany, his transformative sojourn in Italy, and his triumphant legacy in England. As we listen to favorites like Messiah and the "Water Music" and explore his less well-known keyboard works and chamber music, we'll see how Handel's compositions bridged the sacred and secular. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the life and music of one of the greatest composers of the Baroque era.

Instructor: Brenda Leonard
