DESCRIPTION

Many people think of migraines as “just headaches” and pelvic floor issues as something to live with, but both are often signs of deeper, treatable dysfunction.

Think of the body like a pressure system:

  • The pelvic floor is the foundation
  • The diaphragm is the roof
  • The neck is the control center
  • When this system is not well-coordinated, it can lead to symptoms such as:
  • Urinary leakage or urgency
  • Pelvic pain or discomfort
  • Neck stiffness and poor posture
  • Recurrent headaches or migraines

Research suggests that:

Up to 50% of women and 25% of men experience pelvic floor dysfunction at some point

Nearly 1 in 5 adults suffer from migraines, many with a musculoskeletal (neck-related) component

This session will explore how these seemingly separate issues are actually connected through muscle coordination, breathing patterns, and the nervous system.

We will also introduce how modern rehabilitation tools, including JOGO EMG biofeedback, can help “retrain” the brain and muscles, similar to using a mirror to correct posture, but for muscles you cannot see.
