DESCRIPTION
Join Women in Retirement for an overview of key events leading up to the Declaration of Independence. The presentation will focus on New Jersey and the War for Independence and highlight local historic sites and events planned for the 2026 celebration. The presenter, Sandy Smith, is a member of Women in Retirement and the League of WomenVoters-Lawrence Township. She retired from a career in medical research at Bristol-Myers Squibb, and is a volunteer with Literacy NJ, teaching classes for immigrants who are interested in becoming US citizens. All are welcome.
