DESCRIPTION

This supportive group welcomes both parents and their adult children with unique physical, emotional, or developmental challenges. It offers a compassionate community where members can share experiences, exchange practical advice, and find encouragement as they navigate the complex journey of caregiving, independence, and future planning. Together, we create a space of understanding, strength, and hope for the entire family

Facilitator: John George is a New Jersey licensed Clinical Psychologist. Dr. George has been in practice in both New York and New Jersey for over 40 years. He has a long history with CMAP, both as a volunteer and as a group leader. Dr. George originally created the CMAP Transition to Retirement group, a support group which has remained active for the past 10 years

MEETING INFORMATION
This group usually meets on the first Friday of every month throughout the year at 1:00 p.m.. If for any reason this group is unable to meet at a certain day or time, you will receive advanced notice through your provided email. Registration to join this group is only required once per year.

GENERAL INFORMATION
This group offers a hybrid experience, allowing participants to join the event either in-person or virtually via Zoom. Please carefully select your registration type, as participants are expected to attend groups based on their chosen in-person or virtual status.
